Abruzzi Chamois

Its predatories

The naturals predatories are the wolf has colonized again the Apennines (in the 1990 it is returned also on the Alps for the insitution and protection of great areas, and not for the letting in the mountain; someone tells about of walfs parachuted from helicopters !!!!), the marsican brown-bear and the eagle.
In the last years it's added the lynx that is returned -according to someone- to repopulate our mountains. Today the presence of lynx is proved on our mounts (like in the National Park of Abruzzo), but I have many doubts on its.."natural return". The lynx will involve a serious problem for the chamois, when they will be so much. At first mind of the naturalistic problems and after of the turistics problems!

zoomToday the man is the really menace for the chamois: the law flight of an aeroplane, but expecially of a glider , disturbs greatly the chamois. Moreover in Abruzzo there are still the poachers.
Among this aspects, we must consider also the regolamentation of the turistic-flux in the access to the tracks that bring to the zones of the chamois.

That is, to limit in some periods of the year (expecially in the summer) the access to the tracks of the chamois, to avoid that the tourists (they are often undisciplined: dins, giving up the tracks, they give food to the animals!) disturb the species, like it unfortunately happens.
The tourist must be managed to constitute for the National Park a wealth and not a damage.
In the National Park of Abruzzo the access to the tracks of chamois are limited in the July and August since 5-6 years. We hope that also the National Park of Majella and the National Park of Gran Sasso will introduce this limitation, deciding -finally- for a turistic limitation controlled.
